Lady at the veranda is shown standing against the structure which is anornamental division perhaps on the terrace, or the garden. The unlikelypresence of the star studded sky in the backdrop and the creepers laden with blossoms andbirds in the foreground is an unlikely coincidence since both thesides have the outdoor ambiance. Hence it could more be an imaginativestretch of the artist that explains the poetic license of conceivingan original vision while playfully meddling with thelogical to give free reigns to his romantic disposition.Within that expanse we see the lady at her beautiful best, standingagainst the artistically architecture d stone carved window,communicating the possibility of a happy story. But that expressioncould only be the outcomeof a love laden heart. Who is too happy to contain her shyness, herhesitation and constraint being after all thatof being a woman. She looks on ruminatively at nothing in particular seemingly, while herbosom wells up with joy at the reception of her feelings. And theartist makes apt use of the presence of the birds along with theblooming flowers as a companionship intensifying the mood of sharing thecelebration. Nature partakes to the state of human heart as is a usualtool with most of the artists and poets of all times.
